Fernie - Bob success!

About 20 calls later, from the phone of the kind people at the Elkford Chamber of Commerce, and I had a Bob on its way by overnight courier from Calgary to Fernie. Thanks to Doug from Bow Cycles in Calgary, the courier service, and Straightline Bicycles Fernie, I had the new Bob trailer less than 24 hours after my frantic hunt begun. How great is that? Even better we are now enjoying a well deserved rest day in Fernie. But the boys can update you on that. In the mean time here are some of those elusive photos. Sorry if they don't enlarge when you click on the pics... I am not sure why.

Roadtripping

Soon to leave Banff. In such a hurry in fact that we missed the obligatory pic in front of the Banff castle.

Campsite - day 1. A late start, cold and a bit wet, a mechanical break down, and an illegal location. But we were on our way and it was great! Note the size of the tent the bro's are sharing.

The view from camp. Perhaps Trystan or Ben will explain the geology?

Can't make it too easy for the bears

Parallel parking

Water stop. No need to filter here.

Trystan looking the part

Sometimes the scenery is just really too tough to look at

Simon and Ben being brotherly

No Bob for me today! To be my last...

Moods were as high as the sky was blue

You can't do this at home

The climb to Elk Pass was not always straight forward

Unless today was your day off towing the trailer.

My bike not long before rack failure. You can actually see the rack is bent already! No wonder looking at that load. Broke for the better I'd say.

An friendly dog? No, just a curious wolf.

Critters, large and small, not bothered by our presence

Can you pick up some milk on your way home?

Caught in the moment?

Leaving Elkford a couple of hours later than planned. I think we were celebrating the climb?

From Rockies to coal mines all in one day
